A Duke Like No Other (Playful Brides Book 9) by Valerie Bowman Review

Hi ForeverBookers, I’ve just finished  “A Duke Like No Other”  and I liked it.  “A Duke Like No Other”  is about the relationship between Nicole, a headstrong girl and Mark, a man concerned with getting what he wants. The Playful Brides series is a collection of standalone novels.  NetGalley gave me permission to read  “A Duke Like No Other”  so it’s thanks to them that I was able to read it!  2 Stars! I read this for:  • Book Bingo on Facebook! It completes the challenge of reading a book about death. There’s a Murder mystery that takes place within  “A Duke Like No Other”  - https://m.facebook.com/events/1442935242483308.  Spoilers Below... “For the love of God, he’d nearly died for this promotion” At the beginning of  “A Duke Like No Other” , Mark’s biggest concern is getting the job of Home Secretary, “or die trying” to get it. He’s advised that he needs to be married and settled to get the job, though.  “Lord Tottenham doesn’t want a secretar

This Savage Song (Monsters Of Verity Book 1) by Victoria Schwab Review

Hey ForeverBookers,  I’ve just finished  This Savage Song  by Victoria Schwab and it was freaking fantastic!  4.5 Stars! This Savage Song  tells of a dystopian USA, where there are 3 types of monsters amongst humans, Corsai, Malchai, And Sunai. In this version of the USA, it’s split meaning that some of it is in Harker territory, while the other half is in Flynn territory. These rival territories make up part of the story.  When August Flynn, the ruler of the Flynn territory’s son goes to school in Harker territory to spy on Kate Harker, the leader of Harker territory’s daughter that’s when the story really starts. As Kate and August get to know each other can they work together to figure out what’s happening in their world?   I again read  This Savage Song  for a few different readathons: * Reading Rivalry, for a book with over 400 pages, as well as another book that involves children -  https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=reading%20rivalry , * Popsuga

Eliza And Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia Review

Hi ForeverBookers,  Who watched the Royal Wedding earlier? I know that I did.  I’ve just finished  “Eliza And Her Monsters”   (after watching all of the Royal Wedding) and I enjoyed it. Certain elements of it weren’t to my liking but overall it was a good story.  3 Stars! I read  “Eliza And Her Monsters”  for a few readathons, again: * Reading Rivalry, a book with over 300 pages. * Popsugar 2018 Challenge - A book featuring mental health because Eliza suffers with mental health issues -  https://www.popsugar.co.uk/smart-living/Reading-Challenge-2018-44211686 • Book Bingo on Facebook! Eliza And Her Monsters completes the challenge of reading a book that I heard about online, as I first heard of it while watching an unboxing video on YouTube - https://m.facebook.com/events/1442935242483308 .  “Eliza And Her Monsters”  is a contemporary YA novel .  Eliza is a stay at home, in her bedroom kind of teenage girl. She doesn’t like doing things at school or ou

Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland by Lewis Carrol Review

Hey ForeverBookers,  I’ve just finished Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland by Lewis Carrol, because it was so short! I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, surprisingly.  3 Stars! Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland fulfils the challenges of: * Reading Rivalry, for a book about children because Alice is a child and we’re seeing the events of the novel through her eyes! -  https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=reading%20rivalry , * Popsugar 2018 Challenge - A childhood classic that I’ve never read -  https://www.popsugar.co.uk/smart-living/Reading-Challenge-2018-44211686 • Book Bingo on Facebook! It completed the goal of reading a book about travel because Alice travels to Wonderland. There’s quite a long section describing her decent into Wonderland even.  ://m.facebook.com/events/1442935242483308 It’s a children’s book so it’s okay for anyone of any age to read!  The characters of Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland are very unique. You won’t find a t

Magus of Stonewylde (Stonewylde Book 1) by Kit Berry Review

Hey ForeverBookers,  I’ve just finished Magus Of Stonewylde by Kit Berry and I really loved it! It was a reread but the first time I read it, I was only 16/17, so it’s been a while.  Magus Of Stonewylde is about a young girl, Sylvie who might die without getting the opportunity to go to Stonewylde, a magical place of healing and happiness. When she’s there, however things happen that make her question her values and who she is as a person. Our other main character, Yul is a poor villager who experiences abuse and anger at him from his father as well as other characters. 5 Stars! Magus Of Stonewylde fulfils the challenges of: • The Fae Readathon! Reading a book with a different magical creatures - Stonewylde is all about the magic of nature. As well as Moongazyness -  https://www.facebook.com/events/174558623203831/ ,  * Reading Rivalry, for a book with a feather on the cover. ACOFAS didn’t count towards this as the feather is just going off of the book. Instead t

A Court Of Frost And Starlight (ACOTAR 3.5) Review

Hey ForeverBookers,   I’ve just finished ACOFAS and I’m soooo sad! I absolutely LOVED it, don’t get me wrong but it’s the last book from Feyre’s (and Rhys’s?) perspectives, as I understand it! It was just about everything that I wanted to happen as well as a few other bits and pieces too!  5 Stars!  I HIGHLY recommend the ACOTAR books if you want a romantic, action packed fae read!  ACOFAS wraps up Feyre and Rhys’s story (from their POV’s, anyway), with the Winter Solstice. Feyre experiences new things as High Lady of the Night Court, as well as making decisions about her life as a 20/21 girl, while Rhys is making sure the lands are okay, as well as trying to redeem himself. We also get 3rd person chapters from some side characters. It was interesting to have these characters on their own.  I would have LOVED it if ACOFAS had been a full length novel because it just wasn’t enough. I NEED more of both Feyre and Rhys in my life!!! I read ACOFAS, again for sever

A Court Of Wings And Ruin (ACOTAR Book 3) Review

Hey ForeverBookers,   How are you all doing today? It’s been a nice sunny day where I am. A little on the chilly side still, though.  I’ve just finished A Court Of Wings And Ruin or ACOWAR as it’s maybe better known by Sarah J Maas and it’s made it to my Number 1 read of 2018 so far, just as ACOMAF,  A Court Of Mist and Fury  made it to my Number 1 read of 2016. I chose to read it now for a number of reasons. The main one being the fact that A Court Of Frost And Starlight (ACOFAS) has just released, which I preordered last week. It’ll hopefully get here before the weekend...PLEASE...and ACOWAR also goes towards several readathons that I’m taking part in at the moment as well.   * The Fae Readathon hosted by a Facebook friend where you have prompts to read Fae related books. I read ACOWAR for the book that came out before 2018 challenge - https://www.facebook.com/events/174558623203831/ ,  * Reading Rivalry - https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=reading%20rivalry ,
