This Mortal Coil by Emily Suvada Review

Hi ForeverBookers,

I've just finished an awesome book! I got This Mortal Coil from NetGalley so thanks to them for letting me read it. It was soooo good!!
5 Stars!!!
This Mortal Coil is a dystopian story that tells the story of Catarina who, along with friends has to find out who she is among the strife of a deadly plague that's killing off the worlds population through hydra clouds.
The story is told from first person POV, which I loved! I thought the author did a great job at tackling different emotions that our main character, Catarina went through.
There are too many good parts to quote. I'm not going to do that as this review would be so long if I did but I've summarised what happens below...SPOILERS!!!
We see Catarina start as a shy girl with not much experience of the outside world become a warrior. Some may class this as a "special snowflake story", whereby Cat is the special one that everyone has been waiting for. She doesn't know this, tho…

Never Apart by Romily Bernard Review...

Hi ForeverBookers,

Last night I finished Never Apart and I ending up enjoying it. When I started reading it, I found it quite boring. It was at about 60% that I started thinking it was good. I was quite lost at the beginning but Grace, our lead protagonist is lost so I think we're meant to feel as she does.
I'm not going to quote any of the story because this review would go on for too long, if I did, I feel.
Spoilers below...
We meet Grace when she's on the run from someone. Although, the person is revealed in the book I don't want to as it's a pretty major spoiler, I think. Grace is special. She can hop into different timelines. She doesn't like being able to do this, though. I don't want to reveal anything about the time hopping as that is again a pretty big spoiler.
Grace has a boyfriend, Ander and there's another boy, Finn in the story. This sort of plays out as a love triangle but it wasn't annoying. Grace has clear boundaries throughout.…

Heavenly Desire (Elemental Sisters #3) by J. L. Sheppard Review

Heavenly Desire (Elemental Sisters #3) by J. L. Sheppard Review...13th October 2017.
Hi ForeverBookers,
I've just finished Heavenly Desire by J. L. Sheppard, a great book about love and sacrifice, among other things. Thank you to NetGalley for granting me access to read it!
4 Stars!
NOTE: Heavenly Desire is a new adult/adult novel with a few sex scenes towards the end. I'd say 17+ year olds could read it but everyone is different and can handle different things. Also there's an abusive thread running through part of this novel. Although, it never happens in real time in the book, there are flashbacks and recounts of it.
Heavenly Desire is the third book in the Elemental Sisters series. I'd say you should read books 1 and 2 first, though. I didn't because I didn't have time to (NetGalley arcs are only available for a little while). It was fine to read on its own but you'll get more of the story if you read all three, I think.
I read this book for the &qu…

This Side Of Murder (Verity Kent #1) by Anna Lee Huber Review...

Hi ForeverBookers,

I've just finished This Side Of Murder by Anna Lee Hubert and it was great! This isn't my normal type of read but I still enjoyed it.

NetGalley allowed me access to This Side Of Murder so thanks to them for letting me read and review it.

This Side Of Murder tells the story of widower, Verity. She's going to a house party on an island near England. This story is really about Verity trying to figure out a code as she was a secret code breaker in the war. Verity lost her husband in the War, or so she thinks...
4 Stars
The book is set just after World War 1 so there are some customs that are different to now, smoking being seen as a good or relaxing thing, for example.
Verity meets another attendee of the party, Max on the way there. They strike up a friendship. The other attendees are rather hostile to Verity. The other women treat her terribly and the other men just seem to ignore her.
This is a mystery novel where we're trying to work out lots of things.…

Chasing Red (#Red 1) by Isabelle Ronin Review...

Hi ForeverBookers,

I've just finished Chasing Red by Isabelle Ronin and it was great!
NetGalley granted me Chasing Red, so thanks to them for allowing me to read it!
Chasing Red is a New Adult novel. Although, no sex takes place, it's mentioned a lot and the main characters come close to being in that situation once, or twice. I'd therefore put an age rating of 17+ on Chasing Red.
I read Chasing Red for the black/orange cover of the Boo!kish Bingo, Life And Lit event on Facebook. It's not Halloweeny at all though. Just a contemporary with a black and orange cover, along with other colours too!
3.5 Stars!
What I really enjoyed about Chasing Red was the relationship between the two main characters didn't feel forced or instalovey at all. Both Veronica and Caleb had their issues but they stayed strong together, until the very end, where some bitter rivalries came into the story...
The story is told from both Veronica's and Caleb's perspectives, throughout. We ge…
